China Denies It Is illegally Selling Oil to North Korea

China on Friday denied reports it has been illicitly selling oil products to North Korea, after U.S. President Donald Trump said he was not happy that Beijing for allowing oil to reach the isolated nation.

Trump said on Twitter on Thursday that China had been “caught” allowing oil into North Korea and that would prevent “a friendly solution” to the crisis over North Korea’s nuclear programme.

“I have been soft on China because the only thing more important to me than trade is war,” Trump said in a separate interview with The New York Times.

The '1 Above' pub, where a massive blaze killed 14 people, did not follow fire safety norms and violated regulations on encroachment with obstructions blocking its emergency exit, police and civic officials said today.



In its daily crime report, the police also said the pub's manager and other staff fled from the spot instead of helping the customers injured in the blaze.



"No fire safety norms were followed by the pub and the management did not make any arrangement for the safe exit of its customers during the blaze," police said.

Military Launches Operation Jagunlabi to Fight Vandalism, Crude Oil Theft in Lagos

The Joint Task-force (JTF) comprising of the Nigeria Navy, Air Force and Army, on Thursday launched Operation Jagunlabi, a show of force, on the Lagos backwaters to combat increasing menace of pipeline vandalism and crude oil theft.

A lesbian couple was found murdered with their throats slashed alongside their two children in upstate New York on boxing day and they have now been identified.

Shanta Myers, 36, and her 22-year-old girlfriend Brandi Mells were found dead inside the apartment where they had been living in Troy, just outside Albany, at about 12:50 pm on Tuesday. Myers’ two children – five-year-old Shanise Myers and 11-year-old Jeremiah Myers – were also found dead inside the home. Myers has a third child, a son, who doesn’t live with her.
