The Executive Governor of Kaduna State, Mallam Nasir El-Rufai has reshuffled the State Executive Council and in the process appointed two new commissioners, Mr Samuel Aruwan, Senior Special Assistant, Media and Publicity to the Governor disclosed in a statement on Friday.
Aruwan gave the names of the new commissioners as Mrs Ruth Geoffrey Alkali, Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Tourism and Dr Ibrahim Hamza, pioneer Director-General of Kaduna Facility Management Agency (KADFAMA), for Ministry of Water Resources.
The new appointments was necessitated by the vacuum created due to the death of the former Commissioner for Education, Prof. Jonathan Andrew Nok.
Other Commissioners re-deployed are Dr Manzo Maigari from Ministry of Commerce, Industry & Tourism to Ministry of Agriculture & Forestry. Prof. Kabir Mato is moving from Agriculture to Ministry for Local Government Affairs. Ja’afaru Sani is moving from Local Government to Ministry of Education, Science and Technology. Balabara Aliyu-Inuwa is moving from Ministry of Rural and Community Development to Ministry of Works, Housing and Transport. Hassan Mahmud from Works, Housing and Transport to Ministry of Rural and Community Development.
