Only difference is overseas, you will be investigated, tried and jailed if convicted but in Nigeria, you'll be investigated ONLY if you're a member of the opposition party, possibly tried in a court of law (whether jurisdiction is competent or not, that's a case for another day) then the accused will flex some muscle by making sure his/her case enjoys indefinite adjournment.
Case of two rogue elephants fighting right? And the grass we expect to slip one or both of them sef is there watching like a robot, waiting to be encouraged to settle the score. Who's the ROBOT in this scenario? Abeg, fill in the space...
So we hear Meghan Markle’s previous interview about the downsides of being in the industry just resurfaced. In 2015, the then-“Suits” actress revealed that she was asked to lie about her age so she could book more jobs.
“I think as women actors, the industry can assume they have a shelf life. I’m always told, ‘Don’t say your age.’ I’m 33 and I’m really comfortable with that. If anyone has a problem then it’s their problem, not mine. I think in television, you are seeing a shift of women who are not in their 20s who play strong women,” she told Beamly.
She also encouraged casting directors to take risks when their casting and to hopefully not keep looking for young actors. The 36-year-old fiancée of Prince Harry also shared an instance wherein a casting director asked her to buy him cheesecake. At that time, Markle only had $20 in her bank account, and she decided to buy the director the cheesecake so she could get cast. Unfortunately, she still didn’t.
Luckily, Markle is not one to shy away from speaking her mind and inspiring others. She has shared her stories of bullying and racism during her humanitarian speeches. During the same interview, the former actress said that she also the support of a lot of people, which makes it easier for her to use her voice. “I think as women, it’s so important for us to find our voice. Sometimes we are quick to be agreeable and be like, ‘Yeah, okay,’ even we feel uncomfortable,” she said.
Meanwhile, Markle just returned to London for the holidays. She will be celebrating Christmas with Prince Harry and his entire family. Following their celebration, Markle and her fiancé will be going on a week-long vacation. As of late, their destination is still unknown. When they return to London, they will be planning their May 19, 2018 wedding.
Markle and Prince Harry’s special day will be held at St. George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle.
